What to Do

Winnemucca always has something going on! This high desert crossroads offers 24-hour gaming, a multitude of recreational opportunities, some of the best hunting in the nation and a rich and enduring history all woven together with hometown hospitality. Located at the crossroads of Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 95, Winnemucca is not only on your way to everywhere, it is a thriving community full of adventure and good times.

Our annual event calendar is jammed packed with fun and excitement for all ages and interests. The Run-A-Mucca motorcycle rally vibrates the streets of Winnemucca with over 800 motorcycle enthusiasts during Memorial Day Weekend. This is merely a kick-off to the events during the summer. From the Fifties Fever car show to the Basque Festival and the Tri-County Fair the summer truly shines in Winnemucca. Don’t let that fool you though! With our fabulous Winnemucca Indoor Events Center, Winnemucca is also the host for several exciting events during the Fall and Winter seasons, including the Western States Ranch Rodeo Finals in October and the renowned Winnemucca Ranch Hand Rodeo Weekend in February.

So whether you are interested in hunting the famed Chukar Capitol of the U.S., or you are looking for a fun event to attend, Winnemucca is the place to be.
