Horse Stalls

The Winnemucca Events Complex is built with equestrians in mind, offering some of the finest and most thoughtfully designed horse facilities in northern Nevada. With 1,092 total stalls, the complex can comfortably accommodate everything from small local shows to large-scale rodeos, barrel races, and national competitions. Riders, trainers, and organizers alike appreciate the care, comfort, and professionalism that make the WEC a premier destination for equine events year-round.

The facility includes 288 fully enclosed box stalls, featuring 150 with dirt flooring and 138 brand-new stalls with rubber mats for added comfort and easy maintenance. In addition, there are 452 permanent covered horse pens/stalls and 254 open-air pens, giving event organizers the flexibility to design layouts suited to any type of competition or exhibition. For grooming and care, the WEC also provides six spacious wash racks conveniently located near the barns and arenas.

Supporting these first-class facilities are over eight acres of lighted, paved parking, ensuring easy access for horse trailers, rigs, and visitors. Backed by a team of dedicated and experienced event professionals, the WEC staff takes pride in expertly preparing, grooming, and maintaining every surface—from stalls to arenas—to meet the needs of virtually any equine event. Located at 1000 Fairgrounds Rd. Winnemucca, NV

  1. Stall and camping reservations shall be made in advance at openstalls.com Overnight stall and camping spaces may be limited or unavailable during large events.
  2. All guests arriving during normal business hours – Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (except holidays) – shall check-in at the FAIRGROUNDS OFFICE.  Pre-registered guests must present a copy of their online receipt.  All others shall pay at time of arrival.
  3. All guests arriving after hours, holidays or weekends shall utilize the self-serve check-in system as follows:
    • If guest has a prepaid stall/camping reservation, please pick an unmarked stall and/or camping spot from the available stall/camping locations.  A specific location is NOT being held in your name.  Pick one that works best for you.
    • If guest does not have a prepaid reservation, please obtain a self-serve payment envelope located in front of the Fairgrounds or stall/camping offices.  Pick a stall/camping spot from the available stall/camping locations.  Complete the self-serve check-in envelope and include payment.  Insert payment envelope in locked repository.

Campsite with or without full hookups – $25/night

Livestock stall or pen – $15/night
